Mumbai, India Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay and Tohoku University, Japan, have joined hands to establish a pioneering joint academic and research programme. The collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to launch dual-degree opportunities and promote cutting-edge research addressing global challenges.
The MoU was signed during a ceremony attended by senior representatives from both institutions. Dr. Sharad Kumar Saraf, Chairman of the Board of Governors, IIT Bombay, and Professor Shireesh B. Kedare, Director of IIT Bombay, represented the Indian delegation. Professor Teiji Tominaga, President of Tohoku University, signed the agreement on behalf of the Japanese institution.
