The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced key changes to the NEET 2025 exam pattern. NEET, India's medical entrance test, will now have a revised structure that students must be aware of while preparing.
Important Changes in NEET 2025
-
No Optional Questions – Unlike previous years, the NEET 2025 exam will not have a Section B with optional questions. All questions will be compulsory.
-
Total Number of Questions – The exam will consist of 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
-
Exam Duration – The total time for the exam will be 3 hours.
-
Mode of Exam – NEET 2025 will be conducted offline (pen and paper mode). Candidates will mark their answers on an OMR sheet using a blue or black ballpoint pen.
-
Languages Offered – The question paper will be available in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and more.
-
Marking Scheme – Each correct answer will earn 4 marks, while 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Unattempted questions will not receive negative marking.
How to Prepare for NEET 2025
Since all questions are now compulsory, students must change their preparation strategies to cover the entire syllabus.
-
Thoroughly Cover the Syllabus – Focus on all topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from Class 11 and 12 NCERT books.
-
Improve Time Management – With only 3 hours for 180 questions, practice solving questions quickly through mock tests.
-
Increase Accuracy – Since there is negative marking, avoid guessing and focus on answering questions correctly.
-
Stay Updated – Regularly check NTA’s official website for any further updates or changes.
-
Maintain Good Health – A balanced routine with proper sleep, exercise, and nutrition will help in better concentration and performance.
With these changes, students must adjust their study plans to ensure they perform well in the NEET 2025 exam. Proper preparation and time management will be the key to success.
