The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an important notification regarding the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduates (NEET UG) 2025. The notice confirms that NEET UG 2025 scores will serve as the admission criteria for Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH), Ayurveda, and Homeopathy courses, in addition to the previously announced programs.
In a continuation of its earlier public notice dated January 16, 2025, the NTA clarified that the merit list and scores from NEET UG will remain the standard for these courses as per the regulations of their respective governing bodies.
Mode of Examination
The NEET UG 2025 exam will be conducted in a pen-and-paper format, held on a single day and in one shift nationwide, ensuring uniformity and transparency in the process.
Mandatory Aadhaar Linking
Candidates are advised to link their Aadhaar numbers with their registered phone numbers to enable seamless OTP-based verification during the application and examination process. Additionally, students are required to update their Aadhaar credentials to match the details in their Class 10 marksheet or passing certificate.

NEET UG continues to be the principal gateway for undergraduate admissions to medical institutions across India. The exam also facilitates entry into MBBS programs at prestigious institutions, including JIPMER, AIIMS New Delhi, and other government medical colleges.
