The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced updated guidelines for the JEE Main 2025 application process to assist candidates facing name discrepancies between their Aadhaar cards and Class 10 certificates. This adjustment aims to alleviate technical challenges that applicants have encountered due to these mismatches.
Key details include:
- Application Deadline: The registration for the first session of JEE Main 2025 is open until November 22, 2024.
- Guideline Updates: The NTA has implemented changes to the online application form to facilitate smoother submissions, particularly for candidates with minor name inconsistencies.
- Authentication Process: If candidates receive a pop-up error after selecting ‘Confirm Name as per Aadhaar,’ they should close the pop-up and continue by entering their Aadhaar name exactly as it appears. This ensures that both names from the Aadhaar and educational certificate are captured correctly.
Additionally, JEE Main 2025 will be conducted in two phases: the first session from January 22 to 31, 2025, and a second session in April. Notably, candidates will now have three attempts at JEE Advanced over three consecutive years, an increase from the previous limit of two attempts.
